Engagement Look By Chiaro #TBLWeddingChronicles Chapter 2

In: 2015, Collaborations, Wedding Chronicles, Weddings

There’s nothing we love more than Indian wedding season: the romance, the reunion of friends and family, the dhol and dhamaka. We kicked off our Wedding Chronicles by covering the best wedding exhibitions in town and now we are moving to some serious fashion chapters.

From Wedding to Mehendi, from Sagan to Sangeet we will create looks for every wedding function. You can even drop us a wedding topic request and we will blog on it!

#TBLWeddingChronicles  Chapter 2: ENGAGEMENT LOOK

So, your best-friend’s or cousin’s engagement is coming up and you are clueless about what to wear and what not to wear. Well, with so many options available in the market, this confusion is obvious. Engagement is one of the initial functions and you need to leave a fantastic impression on this day. And a perfect dress will give you that look.

Most of us, go for a safe ‘traditional suit’ look and I also decided in my head something like that. While scrolling my instagram feed, I found ‘Chiaro’ by Devika Kalia. I approached her and told about TBL’s wedding chronicles, and guess what she was equally kicked by the idea.

I’m a big proponent of understanding basic style rules, and then bending those rules (maybe even breaking a couple) to make them your own BIZARRE style. I chose the high-low suit from CHIARO’s collection.  As I told you guys, I had ‘traditional suit’ in my mind. The idea behind high / low style is blurring the lines (something else I’m a big proponent of) so you take on a more casual dressy look, or a dressy casual look. So, this was my perfect engagement look didn’t look too overdressed neither underdressed.
